Tourism that respect flora and fauna

Explore Saint-Barthelemy’s nature in a respectful way, avoiding disturbance to the local flora and fauna.

We encourage you to take care of the protected species around you.

The Christopher Hotel is making an ongoing contribution to the development of the Biorock project, which aims to protect the coral reef in the Lorient bay. We are also committed to preserving the biodiversity of the local flora by planting species endemic to the Lesser Antilles and combating invasive alien species.

"This certification confirms that our establishment is becoming a truly sustainable tourist destination."

Preserve the Beaches and Natural Sites

Saint-Barthelemy’s beaches are jewels to be preserved. During your days by the sea, be sure to respect local beach preservation rules.

That’s why we invite you to take care of your garbage and recycle as much as possible!

The Christopher teams provide a number of garbage cans in the rooms, to make it easier to sort and recycle the contents.

Reduce plastic consumption

Reducing plastic consumption is a concrete way of protecting marine and terrestrial ecosystems. Bring your own reusable water bottle, use reusable shopping bags and refuse plastic straws.

Each year, the Christopher Hotel eliminates 32,000 plastic bottles by using eco-responsible packaging for each of its products.

By adopting these eco-friendly gestures during your trip to Saint Barthelemy, you’re helping to preserve the environment you’re visiting, and inspiring other travelers to follow your example. At the Christopher Hotel, we believe that every little gesture counts, and together we can create a positive impact on the planet.
